I received a note from someone who said her name was Nera, that was sent from deviant !DollyLemelle06213. She asked me if I would like to show my art at a site that I can't publish in this journal because the journal is blocking it. However, when I went to check the site out, it was not functioning and when I went to check out her profile, it had been deleted. I received this note one day ago. Has anyone experienced something similar? Do any of these names ring a bell for anyone?

My bamboo splash just came in! It has a larger draw space than my old tablet and that wonderful paper feel. It even sounds like paper when I brush it. And the drag of the pen across the surface feels much more like paper.

The pen itself has a good feel, in texture, weight and size. It came with extra nibs (3), which is nice, as they wear down over time. It connects with a usb to micro usb cord, which I think is awesome, as I can use it on all my devices and easily replace it. (For some reason, I go through them like they are going out of style...) My only complaint is that the cord is rather short, so I have to connect it to the front of my computer.

Over all, I think I'm in love <3 <3 <3

Also, my purchase came with painter 12! Time to go fire it up!

As a side note, being without a tablet forced me to finish making a jewelry set that I had started for myself. I'll post pictures, hopefully soon. But, it has inspired me to take up wire wrapping, so I'm going to start uploading a variety of jewelry and paintings. You'll never know what I'm going to post next! But maybe, if you are one of my watchers, you are already used to that.

I just got back from a four day trip to North Carolina to visit my sister and nephew. It was fun but exhausting; especially the 8 hour drive both ways.

I was able to see some fall leaves this year which was wonderful. All the trees were golden up there, and the weather was cool, but not too cold. I was able to get some very nice nature photos that I may paint at some time.

In other shenanigans, my son spilled some water on my Wacom Bamboo tablet, and it is currently not working. I'm hoping it will be fine once it dries out, and if its not, they are only $60. But that would be my only money right now, and I'm sure I need other things.

Weep for me my friends! It may be some time before I am able to make any art (hopefully only a day, but weep nonetheless!).

Right now I'm sitting in a dark and quite room, painting by the light of my computer monitor; husband and son asleep on the bed. I'm enjoying all of the spooky art that's beginning to appear on Deviant Art.

Fall is perhaps my favorite season. I love the turning of the leaves, the crisp cool air. And of course horror movies! I LOVE horror movies and scary TV shows and cheap Halloween candy!
